NerdCat Studios builds websites and online ordering systems for local restaurants and small businesses — the kind of places that get quoted a templated site for too much money, or get talked into a platform that takes a slice of every order.
We're based in San Jose, California, and we work with clients who want to own what they're paying for.
How we work
We build, we don't assemble
Every site is written by hand and tuned for speed. No page builder, no plugin stack, no theme licence to renew — which is also why our sites load in a fraction of the time a templated one does.
We work with a few clients at a time
We're small on purpose. You talk to the person building your site, not an account manager relaying messages to a queue.
We don't take a cut
We charge for the work and stop there. No commission on your orders, and no service fee added to your customer's total at checkout.
We hand over the keys
Your domain, your customer list, your order history, your content. On a buyout, the site itself. None of it is held hostage if you decide to leave.
